Hike from Camogli to San Fruttuoso

Nestled along the rugged coastline between Camogli and Portofino, San Fruttuoso is a secluded bay that can only be accessed by foot or by boat. The trail starts in the heart of Camogli, near the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta. From there, you'll begin your ascent on a well-marked path that winds its way up the hillside. As you climb, you'll be treated to breathtaking vistas of the Ligurian Sea and the charming town of Camogli below.

The trail is a combination of dirt paths, stone steps, and occasional paved sections. It is a moderate hike, with some steep sections, so wearing comfortable shoes and bringing plenty of water is recommended.

This medieval monastery is a true hidden gem and offers a fascinating glimpse into the area's rich history. You can also relax on the pebble beach, swim in the crystal-clear waters, or enjoy a meal at one of the seaside restaurants before either taking a boat back to Camogli.
